Most multi-million dollar breaches trace back to lax security controls and people — security’s “weakest” link. This two-day workshop starts from real-life incidents that cost companies dearly and works backwards through how the attacker got in. Participants follow the offensive sequence — knowing the target, server-side attack, the exploitation framework, threat modelling — to see how an adversary penetrates and compromises an organisation’s network. The cohort then builds the defensive strategy: best-practice measures to contain the threat agent’s reach to the organisation’s most prized information assets, and the incident management procedures for proper asset recovery and salvage when a breach does occur.

Frequently asked
What makes this emerging threats workshop different?
It works backwards from real-life incidents that cost companies dearly, following the offensive sequence — knowing the target, server-side attack, the exploitation framework, threat modelling — to show how an adversary actually penetrates and compromises a network. Only then does the cohort build the defensive strategy and the incident management procedures for recovery after a breach.
How long is the workshop and who should attend?
It is a two-day workshop aimed at IT and network security professionals, security operations and incident-response staff, IT managers accountable for security controls, and auditors and risk staff who assess technical exposure. It also confronts the human gap — how weak security awareness makes people the weakest link.
Is the workshop available in-house and in French?
Yes. BIZENIUS delivers it in English and French, and an in-house edition can be tailored to your organisation’s environment and most prized information assets. Sessions run on a rolling calendar with dates confirmed on request; fees and quotations are provided on enquiry.
Who teaches this
Practitioners, not presenters.
Led by risk and cybersecurity practitioners who have owned security and technology-risk accountability in regulated institutions and advised boards through incidents, alongside data-privacy specialists who have implemented the regimes they teach. The emphasis is governance and decision-making, taught by people who have had to make the call.
What the bench brings
- Information security governance and risk assessment
- Security management systems, audit and certification
- Data protection and privacy compliance
- Cloud, network and industrial-control security
- Security architecture and third-party assessment
- Cyber-risk briefings for boards and executives
Where they have practised
Current and former practitioners — people who hold the seat today alongside those who have held it.
Sectors: Technology & fintech · Banking & financial services · Government & public sector · Insurance
Regions: Africa · the Middle East · Europe · Asia · the Americas
How they teach
- Incident and breach simulations
- Hands-on labs and control walk-throughs
- Board-briefing role plays
- Exam-style knowledge checks and quizzes
- A personal action plan
